15-[phone] Why you do this?

Everything that just happened...... can we really blame the town this time?

........................

I'm not so sure.....

The town is to blame for the initial spark. Those who killed are responsible for their own actions.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'm inclined to agree. It's just.....

How could it be so easy to convince people to do such horrible things?

[He already knows though. Even as he's asking, he already knows.]

[identity profile] eldest-hatter.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm afraid that if people were that easily swayed, the urge to kill was already there inside of them to begin with.

This town brought the cruelty in ourselves out to the surface, and rewarded it.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Is that kind of cruelty in everyone?

[identity profile] jaws5sonofjaws.livejournal.com 2011-06-04 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course we can, they were completely fucking with my mind.

.........

It's frightening to think how easily people are led.

No way. This time, everyone made their own choices.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
............

I know. The town didn't even order anyone to kill, they just suggested it, offered rewards, and it worked.

[identity profile] the-wee-big-hag.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Considering the people wouldn't have had the choice unless the town had offered it, I would say yes.

However everything else you have a point.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
I'm starting to think that the town doesn't have to do much to turn us against each other. Maybe nothing at all.....

Are you okay? You didn't get involved in all of that, did you?

[identity profile] plantenough.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
Every time, the town showers us with tricks and false promises, and every time, so many fall for it.

It's becoming disappointing.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
I agree. It is disappointing. I thought we'd all know better by now....

It's just like the highway again.

The town is to blame... but it's not just the town.

The town taunts people and wants them to do bad things. Still, those who go along with it are just as bad.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
We have to start taking responsibility for our own decisions. The town does do bad things, but that doesn't mean we can blame it for everything.

It's too easy to convince us to kill each other. Way too easy.

[identity profile] zombee-slayer.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Just blame everyone damn it!

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well... i don't think everyone is to blame. Some people spent the week trying to help others. Making the choice to ignore what the town ordered them to do and do what was right.

[identity profile] heartserved.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
"This time"? Has this... erm... happened... before?

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. This kind of thing has happened several times in the past.

Are you new around here?

I want to believe that this place caused it but...people have to make their own choices and in the end, wonder if they will really get what they got.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder how many of them think it was worth it....

[He sighs.]

It's depressing how quickly the killing started. And how far it got.

...Not everything, perhaps. But I believe the responsibility lies with both the town and the people who killed.

[identity profile] springtime4me.livejournal.com 2011-06-05 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
That's true. In this case, the responsibility has to be shared.

The plaque at the roller rink..... that must have been the town's plan from the start. With a reminder like that, it will take a long time to heal the rifts between us.
